Dear Parent,
If you have taken the time out of your busy day to log onto our website in the interest of your child, then you are a parent who is interested in doing everything you can to prepare your young child for success in life … and you’ve come to the right place!
Hello -- my name is Dr. Judy Flury (BIO). I am the owner of the American Institute of Taekwondo, and the 4-6 year old Little Ninjas program. (read about our school).
The Little Ninjas class is a high-energy, fun, 30-minute class that will teach your child 8 core skills: Focus • Control • Social Skills • Discipline • Memory • Coordination • Balance • and Fitness.
In addition to these 8 core skills, the Little Ninjas program will also help your child develop listening skills, the ability to follow instructions, the confidence to work well with others, leadership skills, and lots of healthy self-esteem!
This special program is completely customized for the 4-6 year old age group. These important life skills are taught to your child through a special teaching method called “edu-tainment” -- that means that we teach the class through fun drills that your child thinks are games! So your child has a fantastic time in class, while you enjoy seeing them develop strong success skills that will prepare them for a lifetime of opportunities.
Listen to what other parents of our Little Ninjas students have to say about this program:
“My daughter was extremely shy and quiet when she started her Little Ninja’s training. Now, she has become confident, self-assured and speaks up! She is having so much fun, she wants to one day become a Little Ninja’s instructor.”
Emily Othen |
“Our son, Michael, started at Little Ninja’s 3 months ago. It was something my husband and I felt would be a good thing for him with the problems he was having in Kindergarten and at home. About 1 1/2 months into the program we noticed a difference in Michael as did his family, friends and his teachers. His teacher says he sits longer with more focus and a better attention span. His handwriting is also better. But most of all, Michael really enjoys it. He isn't one to really want to stick to anything but he asks all the time if he can go to Ninja class. I would highly recommend this program to any child. It is really nice to see your child enjoy something that also benefits him and all that is around him.”
Emily Murphy |
“Since my granddaughter has been in the Little Ninja’s program, she has learned lessons in discipline, courtesy, focus, respect and integrity which have helped her excel in school. We know these lessons will be with her for a Lifetime!”
Charles Hauck |
“Dear Dr. Flury, Thank you so much for everything you have done for our family. Thomas is a great kid with good values, manners, and respect. You have made an impact in his development. I am so very grateful. May God bless you every day. Keep up with your wonderful work with all your kids. I know you bond with them all. You’re a very special person. Again, thank you for all you do.”
LeeAnne Haney, mom of Thomas Haney. |
“We have been extremely pleased with the growth of our son in confidence to play with older and bigger kids. We've seen him smile more since beginning classes as well as an improvement in his coordination. He has become very disciplined in household chores such as cleaning his room and picking up after himself. He's also setting the table for lunch (pretty good for a 4 year old). Unfortunately for dad, the increase in speed and agility has made it more difficult to catch him when playing tag, football or soccer. Thank you for your hospitality to the students and their families.”
Anita Schilling |
“Wanting to find something else for my daughter to do other than watching TV or playing video games, I enrolled her in Little Ninja’s. Since then, she has improved both at school and at home. She shows more respect for others and herself. There's also been an increase in her patience and self restraint. Best of all, the kids learn so much without realizing they're learning. They think they're playing games!” Jennifer Nelian |
“Skilled team sports are a waste of time for a 5 year old. Gaining discipline, physical confidence and good behavior (posture, listening and sitting quietly) as they are taught in this class will only be an advantage later in life. The measured accomplishment by using skill stripes and new belts allows Ryan to proudly display his progress. We also like the additional life/morality lessons at the end of each class.” Willliam Scoffield |
“Since joining Little Ninja’s when she was 4 years old, my daughter has shown improved discipline, memory and focus. She also has so much more respect than before. The instructors show a great amount of care for the students while also expecting a lot out of them. My daughter loves what she's doing and how it challenges her. Her goal is to earn her blackbelt in Taekwondo. I highly recommend this class to other parents.” Alma Garcia |
“I think that the program has had a good influence over my daughter and helped her in making the transition to her K-5 class. She has learned how to wait her turn in line, work together with other kids and follow a teacher's instruction. I am also glad to see her, already at age 5, taking pride in herself and striving to do the best she can at her class. I can also see her developing a real interest in exercise. She loves it! I appreciate the kindness and patience that is given to her by the instructors. They have all been great!”
Tricia Elliott |
"My son loves his karate class. It has had an extremely positive effect on his behavior. It’s the one thing we can’t miss every week”.
Jim Sachse |
“My son was very shy when he started the Program. Since then, he has gained the confidence to know how to handle situations and do new things. He is more focused on keeping in shape and is very respectful. Your program makes my job as a parent easier.”
Jessica Richardson |
And the child experts agree:
“Children reap several benefits from martial art training. With progressive training, children become more enthusiastic, optimistic, and self-reliant.”
Dr. Mary Kurian, child education specialist |
“It has been found that girls who train in Taekwondo feel better about themselves physically, personally, and socially.”
Harvard Medical School study |
“Carleton University found that children in martial arts have a lower level of anxiety; an increased sense of responsibility; a decrease in the willingness to take foolish risks; a higher sense of self-esteem; and a higher level of social intelligence.”
Psychology Today |
"Every parent should ensure that their child knows three things: how to read, how to swim, and martial arts.”
Nicholas Cokinos, Childrens Education Specialist |
“I recommend sending children to a good martial arts school to increase their focus, to get them to concentrate better, and to gain more self-control”
World renowned child psychologist Dr. Ruth Peters (featured on Oprah Winfrey Show, Good Morning America, CBS Good Morning, NBC's Today, CNN Morning News, and MSNBC.) |

The Little Ninjas program was designed with the input of 14 different GPISD Kindergarten and 1st grade teachers, as well as my own 22 years of experience in teaching children. You’ll enjoy knowing that your child is in an exclusive program that is customized around the exact social, emotional, and physical needs of your child’s age group.
The Little Ninjas also have their own belt rank system, so they get to continually set goals of reaching their next belt rank, and then they get to feel pride and accomplishment as they reach each new belt after working hard for it! Once they turn 6 ½ years old, they will join the older kids' Taekwondo class, with a strong background in balance, coordination, beginning karate skills, focus, and the ability to listen to instructors and work well in a group.
Attendance is strictly limited in this program in order to make sure that each child gets plenty of individual attention, and also because I teach the Little Ninjas class personally, so be sure to call us or fill out the form below ASAP -- don’t wait, or you could find yourself on waiting list!
